Another lesson

I feel like I have learned some lessons the hard way so far. Not a lot, but enough that I know learning the hard way sticks better.

Recently, my girlfriend adopted a deaf dog. He is very sweet but you can definitely tell that he is deaf. Since bringing him home, we have realized that a) deaf dogs are really difficult to dissuade from slicing your hand with their really sharp puppy teeth and b) it is difficult to stop any bad behavior because you cannot use commands to stop them.

I have no idea whether she will end up keeping him or returning him to the organization so they can find a better home for him.

I love her and I hope she comes to a conclusion that has a good outcome for both her and the puppy.

I’ll update later as to how things turn out.
