Ah yes, back to the real world

I have been on a two week hiatus. I thought my absence from my life at home would do me some good and aside from contracting the Rona from my grandparents, I would venture to say that it did. I have also learned a good few things during my time away that I feel like might be worth sharing.

1) School is 10x easier when you are not stressed by work and other nonsense.

2) Work is an important part of me because my hands do not like to remain idle.

3) As much of a stigma that has been placed on ADHD medications for being METH and/or the college drug, it has really helped me in learning how to do things and how to actually get them DONE rather than get halfway done and realize I am bored or disinterested (I get bored while brushing my teeth if anyone has any doubts).

4) Vitamin C + Vitamin D + Zinc = Comforting Rona Security Blanket

5) I like seeing the people I love, but I am somewhat introverted and need time to myself to recharge. I may not seem like I am, but I AM. I have learned that I need time for myself or I am likely to end up accidentally committing multiple crimes (mostly white collar because I am not a monster).

6) Vampire Weekend really has some BOPS (Unbearably White is fantastic).

7) A blog site is a good place to keep a lot of writing that can also be shared. I see a therapist and since the Rona has made it impossible for me to do what I was originally doing to relieve stress, I have turned to an old way. I have always loved writing but I am very critical and hateful to my own art. I don’t like ‘this’ or ‘that’ needs far more work. Of course, this is the plight of many and ultimately discourages many could be ‘masters of the artform’ from becoming that. That is not what I am seeking to do. I am just writing to stay out of my own head and create something tangible that I, myself, can read and understand. Sometimes that is the easiest way to reach yourself.

Thanks for reading if you did,

I’ll write more soon, maybe tomorrow but we will see.

Jonathan
